Cool Carrot…is not a place, but a state of mind – one of relaxation and enjoyment, where everyone is welcome to enjoy delicious food and drink in a cosy corner of Highgate.

Our global appeal comes from ‘home’ for me, which has been Sri Lanka, New York, and London, all of which have been a contributing inspiration to the menu.

From Sri Lanka we have captured the precious memories I have of enchanting curries and spiced dishes served by my many relatives. Then from New York I wanted to bring the breathtaking experience of living on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. Whatever happens in New York there will always be incredible Coffee and Bagels. At Cool Carrot there are bagels to suit every palate, all made by our bakers in Brick Lane, which is where we also source our salt beef.

As we are based in London, you will not be disappointed if you come in for afternoon tea and cake. Our famous ‘Cool’ Carrot cake is hugely popular plus we also have a fantastic selection of snacks and treats for the kids as well.

In the evenings, stop by for pre theatre drinks including exceptional cocktails before heading to the Theatre at Jacksons Lane.
We look forward to welcoming you to Cool Carrot, whether you prefer to relax indoors or outdoors, enjoy our boutique garden on a summer evening or sit under cover and have an outside inside experience during cooler winter months. It’s a great space to come with guests or to rent for private parties, classes, events or even pop-ups.
